## Switching Game Engines in July

In July I decided to take on the challenge of learning the Godot Engine in one week in order to teach it for a course this summer. Some of the students were bringing chromebooks to the course and Unity does not run in the browser.

It was actually quite fun to learn a new engine, despite what I’ve been saying for a while (not a great use of my development time, etc). This month, I had a good excuse to learn a new engine and I found out that it wasn’t quite as difficult as I imagined. For now, it’s back to Unity. TORSO TENNIS and[ FORKLIFT FLOWERPOT](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2073330/FORKLIFT%5FFLOWERPOT/?ref=toomuchtomato.com) both use the Unity engine. Right now, Unity is still the better tool for me since I’ve been using it for like… 10 years!
